About Task 36
This Task is aimed at exchange of information on the material and energy valorisationof waste in a circular economy, with emphasis on dissemination of information aimed at policy and decision makers.
Its program of activities builds upon the work done in the Task over the past decade on the integration of energy into solid waste management solutions and decisions, and from 2019 the key challenges in the material and energy valorisation of waste inn a society that moves towards a circular economy.
The Task works closely with both operating industry and with research organisations. Each meeting will include a workshop/webinar on a relevant issue and a site tour. The Task will work in close collaboration other Task on projects related to Hydrogen and carbon capture and sequestration or utilisation (BECCS/U); and Task 37 when working on projects related to biogas production
